Camp Experience

The last month of May I went to a camp called Camp Courage. This camp is for kids who have a cranial facial disorder (ex. cleft pallet, cleft lip, etc.) You stay there for six days and do many activities throughout the week. The main goal is for you to be able to be yourself without judgment. For people who have a cranial facial disorder, you get made fun a lot and we’re are not accepted as much in society. Camp gives you the foundation of becoming a hard-working leader in society while also have fun. I met my significant other at camp and we are still together now. You will make life long friends there and that’s the best part of the camp.

The Journey Begins

Welcome

We are all told, “live your life to the fullest”; I am here to do just that. Just A Girl Trying serves as a vessel to project my passions, and clue in my loyal readers as to what inspires me in this crazy world. So, sit back, relax, and read on.

I’m not good with words or grammar, but I believe everyone has a story to share. This is where the journey begins. I will be talking about my depression and some suicidal stories so if you’re easily triggered I would not read.
